This chess game combines two formally identical teams that reflect the conflict of chess in itself. The figures are made of blackened square steel with a diameter of 4x4 mm, which has been bent in some places to bring dynamic to the static, sculptural figures. These figures are derived neither from their own name, nor are they similar to the classic Staunton characters. They define themselves by the way they move and the associated strategy. The game field is made of flexible goatskin and receives the typical checkerboard pattern through a perforation. This material allows for dual use as a playing field and a bag to carry the characters and to protect.
