Since the first time my dad has shown me an oloid I was fascinated by the form of the oloid by Paul Schatz. The oloid is a geometric shape with two edges, both 240° of a circle, and one surface, which is uncoiled completely when rolled. One night browsing the web I stumbled upon a tangent calculation for oloids and I had to grind one from the solid. I made a mold with this first oloid and since then I test materials.
